King Alfred's Tower also known as the Stourton Tower, in Brewham, Somerset.

Alfred's Tower is a 49 meter high folly which can be seen from miles around often shining bright red/gold in the sunset. Climbing the tower will offer breathtaking views across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset. It's surrounded by a wildflower meadow and dense beautiful woodland.

"Henry Hoare II planned the tower in the 1760s to commemorate the end of the Seven Years' War against France and the accession of King George III, and it was erected near the site of Egbert's Stone, where it is believed that Alfred the Great, King of Wessex, rallied the Anglo-Saxons in 878 before the Battle of Edington. The tower was damaged by an aeroplane in 1944 and restored in the 1980s. "

20cm or 13cm square prints only.

Please note, the colours may vary between the print and digital images, I always make sure the prints are as close to the original as possible.

The print does not come framed or mounted. Printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper Supreme; a long lasting, high quality paper.

**Gloss prints bring out the colours just that little bit more but aren't ideal for bright and will reflect a lot. The Lustre prints look just as fab but are the safest bet for a very well lit room.**
